Listening Inward

Take a breath.
Not to calm down—
but to hear.

You’ve been listening so many voices
that are not your own.
Advice. Expectations. Apologies you didn’t owe.

This is your moment to return to the one voice
you were born with:
your own.

Let your jaw soften.
Let your shoulders drop.
Let your thoughts slow,
just enough for something else to speak.

That knowing?
It didn’t leave.
It just got quiet
because it wasn’t being heard.

Ask gently:
What part of me has something to say right now?
Even if it’s small. Even if it’s unsure.

Don’t rush it.
Don’t fix it.
Just listen.

Maybe it’s:
“I’m tired.”
“I want to slow down.”
“I don’t want to say yes to this anymore.”

Let it be simple.
Let it be enough.

You don’t have to justify what you feel.
You don’t need a perfect reason to honor what’s true.

Every time you listen inward,
you’re telling yourself:
I’m safe to come home to.

So stay here.
Even just for this breath.
Let your truth rise without interruption.

That’s where self-trust begins.
Not with certainty—
but with space.

And you’ve just made some.
Right here.
Right now.
