A Meditation for Parents Helping Children Navigate Loss

Take a deep breath in

And let it go

There is no script for parenting through loss

No perfect words

No one right way to guide them

Just presence

Just trust

Breathe into the space between your grief and theirs

You don’t need to make sense of it for them

You just need to stay beside them

Grounded, soft, steady

Feel your feet on the ground

Feel your hand on your heart

Let their feelings be their own

Let yours rise without shame

You can hold sorrow and hope at the same time

You can let them lead

You can trust the wisdom already inside them

Breathe in, they are watching you

Breathe out, and you are showing them how to move through

You are doing enough

You are enough, just as you are.
